Sinicuichi
sun opener Heimia salicifolia is a wonderful addition to any
botanical experience. The history of this plant takes us back
to the Aztecs.
Sinicuichi is prepared by making a tea with the dried leaves.
Take 20 grams of leaves and place them in a sun tea jar (1
gallon jar). Fill the jar just over the leaves with water.
Leave them in the sun for two days.
Allow them to ferment during this time. After they have set
in the sun for the 2 day period drain the water with a filter
and squeeze the remaining juice out of the leaves. If you
feel this is too much to drink ( it is bitter ) then steep
it down to a drinkable quantity. Do not boil it. Should not
take to long if you do not use much water when you start the
process.
The effect of the Sinicuichi tea is a euphoriant and a brightening/yellowing
of vision, hence the name "Sun Opener." Sinicuichi
is also thought to give the ability to recall past events
with great clarity and has the unusual characteristic of being
an auditory hallucinogen. This is the most sought after quality
of the plant. Sounds seem to come distorted from a great distance.
No hangover or undesirable side effects. Memory can be effected
if used a lot.
