The amanita or Fly agaric mushrooms are most abundant in Finland.
Some people call them Fly agaric mushrooms but they are more
commonly known as Amanita muscaria. They grow all over the
place in Finland. The most potent harvest time is August.
The most potent part of the mushroom is the outer skin and
the flesh just below.
Contrary to what people think, the quality of the mushroom;
A-B grade does not have anything to do with the potency. The
mushroom has the same effect no matter if the cap is broken
or whole.
A dose is about 5 to 20 grams depending on the mushroom and
the person consuming it. Naseau is likely but not all that
common.
The effects last up to 10 hours and can begin as late as 2
hours after first ingestion.
Drying caps at 180 degrees Fahrenheit is recommended.
Can be smoked extracted or eaten. Eating consistently produces
the result people look for..
The
amanita family can be poisonous so be careful when buying
caps for ingestion. Know what to look for.
A seller can not look at every cap and identify it exactly
so if you plan on consuming them start with small doses (5
grams) and work your way up to a comfortable level.
